Overview

CSS3 is changing how we build the web. Even though many of us are still disinclined to start using CSS3 due to the lack of support in some browsers, there are those out there that are moving forward and doing some amazing Advantages And Disadvantages Of Dropdown Menu stuff with its cool new features. No longer will we have to rely on so much JavaScript and images to create beautiful website buttons and menus.

You can create a fancy rounded navmenu with gradients, with no images and no Javascript. This menu works perfectly well with Firefox, Opera, Chrome and Safari. The drop down also works on non-CSS3 compitable browsers such as IE7+, but the rounded corners and shadow will not be rendered. CSS3 transitions could one day replace all the nice javascript animation things.

How to use

1) Open CSS Horizontal Menu software and click "Add item" and "Add submenu" buttons situated on the CSS Horizontal Menu Toolbar to create your Js Sliding Fadein Dropdown Menu menu. You can also use "Delete item" to delete some buttons.

2) Use ready to use Templates. To do it just select theme you like in the "Templates" list. Double-click the theme you like to apply it.

3) Adjust appearance of the menu.
3.1. Select item by clicking it and change button appearance for normal and hover states and set buttons link properties and link target attributes on the "Main menu" tab.
3.2. Select submenu's item by clicking it and change submenu's appearance for normal and hover states and set submenu's item link properties and link target attributes on the "Submenu" tab.

4) Save your menu.
4.1. Save your project file. To save project just click "Save" button on the Toolbar or select "Save" or "Save As" in the Main menu.
4.2. Publish your menu in the HTML format. To do it click "Publish" button on the Toolbar.

I have got the css3 curved menu entire CSS menu working good, but when the user mouses over the css jump menus main menu item, I would like the submenu items to appear underneath it and go from left to right as oppossed to top to bottom (horizontal vs vertical). i.e. as per your dropdown mootool menu joomseller example, home item would appear to the right of help section, and so on. any help would be greatly appreacited!!

So I should move both manually up and down, right? Or is there an easier way so that both images on the orange green css vertical menu layers are positioned precisely where they should be?

Great tool. I had a css vertical menu fade out home-grown css menu that was working, but not in IE7 - yours does - thanks. It works properly in IE 7 and 8, works fine in IE 9. The drop down menus instantly disappear when trying to hover over them. I haven't a arabic drop horizontal menus clue as to why this is happening. Have tried many different "fixes" on this javascript css search button menu comment section but still nothing. Any ideas? z-index doesn't work at all.

I have enlarged the width to my menu bar, from 100% to 300%. I have added 6 items to on this bar. Open up your downloaded file in a web browser. Once open, right click and select view page source. Your code is now visible. Hi I love the site and the generator. The how to skin dropdown menu only negative would be that the css glass menu maker navigation isn't accessible for people using screen readers as you can't use the pluginlab css tree menu torrent tab key to highlight and select through the css vertical menu tree menus.

I Build an drop down navigation html extensive menu bar, which works great. Until I need to add an download css3 drop line menu item to it. then comes to re-keying the free css menus vertical whole thing back in again. And after two or three tries I get it right. On the drupal 7 horizontal dropdown menus profile page it looks like you might be able to save a template or menu bar. But I can find no place to do that. Can you tell me how to save my dropdown menu templates with source code work to go back and make changes?

Ange, i'm a css lookup menu little bit of a onclick drop down navigation newbie to coding but, what i did in Frontpage is i created a superfish menu dropdown onmouseover layer and pasted the css dropout ul menu menu code in to the layer attributes of the webpage, and the accordion tab dropdown menu <style> part of the vertical sliding dropdown navigation menu code in to the css drop down menu blue header section of the sites code. Not sure if this is the main menu sub css superfish 1 best way to go about it but it worked. Hope that makes sence. As for anyone having problems with IE8 try placing <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge" /> After the javascript drop down menu div anchor <title> tag in the horizontal navigation css html5 code, it might get IE to recognize the drop down features of the CSS code... if not i tried ^.^

One - the sitefinity mega dropdown menu generator places stylesheets inside the drop down menu frameset <body> tag instead of <head>, so was wondering if it is intentional. Another is that it does not quite work if I place the menu css red header stylesheet in the rounded corner css horizonal menu external file.
